Introduction
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026 for admission to undergraduate medical courses across India. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following conditions to appear for NEET (UG) 2026:
- Have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology (including English) from a recognized board.

Selection / Admission Process
1. Candidates appear for NEET (UG) 2026 on 3 May 2026.
2. NTA releases the All‑India Rank (AIR) and merit list.
3. Counselling for 15 % All‑India Quota seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
4. State‑level counselling is carried out by respective state authorities for the remaining seats.
5. Final seat allocation is based on rank, preferences and reservation policy.

How to Apply Online
- Visit the official portal https://neet.nta.nic.in/ and click “Register”.
- Enter required personal details, generate an Application Number and set a password.
- Complete the application form: fill personal, academic, category and contact details; select three preferred examination cities and the medium of the question paper.
- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, finger/thumb impressions and required documents as per the specifications.
- Pay the application fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net‑Banking or UPI. Ensure successful transaction and download the Confirmation Page.
- Review all entered information, submit the form and note down the Application Number for future logins.
Important Instructions
- All information entered must be accurate; any discrepancy may lead to disqualification.
- Only one set of photographs and signatures should be uploaded; no correction is allowed after the correction window (10‑12 Mar 2026).
- Choose the question‑paper medium carefully; it cannot be changed later.
- Candidates must appear at the centre mentioned on the Admit Card; no change of centre is permitted.
- Barred items (mobile phones, calculators, electronic devices, etc.) are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Dress code: light clothing, no long sleeves; slippers or low‑heeled sandals are recommended.
