Selection Process: CBT, Interview, and Skill Tests
Group A selection involves two stages. First comes an online Computer Based Test (CBT) carrying 70 marks. Candidates who clear this move to the interview stage, which carries 30 marks. Interview shortlisting follows a defined ratio based on CBT rank: 1:5 for a single vacancy, 1:4 for two vacancies, and 1:3 for three or more vacancies.
Group B and Group C selection relies on a 100-mark online CBT as the primary assessment. Depending on the post, a qualifying skill test may follow. Stenographers Grade-III and Lower Division Clerks face typing or stenography tests. The Hindi Assistant post includes a translation test. Staff Car Drivers undergo a driving test. These skill tests are qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must pass them to progress, though marks may not be added to the final score.
All CBT questions are bilingual—available in both English and Hindi. Negative marking applies at 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer, except for Multi-Tasking Staff posts, which have no negative marking.
The online test duration is 100 minutes for all candidates. PwBD candidates receive an additional compensatory 30 minutes, making their total duration 130 minutes.
